Polish Berliner Margaret Dygas is securing a fall release for her first full-length album How Do You Do on Japan’s PowerShovelAudio label, and she cites the book Peoplewatching by British zoologist Desmond Morris as inspiration. From her early days clubbing in NYC as a fashion student, to the start of her DJ career in London in the late 90s, to her current bi-monthly residency at Berlin’s hedonistic Berghain/ Panoramabar, Dygas has surely done her fair share of body language analysis on unwitting dancefloor subjects, channeling it into her latest studio project.

Over the last few years, Margaret has released a string of 12″ EPs with respected labels like Perlon and Contexterrior, which, in contrast to her pumping DJ sets, show a more abstracted, introspective approach to techno. As with past PowerShovelAudio CDs, How Do You Do will be packaged inside a 36-page booklet with snapshots taken by the artist. An accompanying vinyl release will feature album track “Pg 21″ and a remix of “Hidden from View” by NSI, heard earlier this year on Ellen Allien’s Watergate 05 mix CD.

As ever, Dygas will stay busy with club and festival dates throughout Europe — see her itinerary at the end — and intends to play Japan following the album’s release.
