Our beloved morose disco-soul singer Alexander Geist is on the cover of the new issue of Dance Theatre Journal, Vol. 24 No. 4, interviewed by La JohnJoseph — author and star of Boy in a Dress — along with ex-model Ana Mosity of †DRESSER (the witch-house trio who played at our Halloween party last year). The excellent photos were take Goodyn Green, including the unpublished one seen above. Here’s an excerpt of the text:
La JohnJoseph: And did you ever think of recording together? The two of you?
Ana Mosity: I’m not sure it would be appropriate. We make very different kinds of music.
Alexander Geist: It’s a very intimate process, writing with somebody, singing with them, you can’t just jump straight into it with a stranger — it’s not like sex.
