For the August edition of Expatriarch Radio, Joey Hansom presents some inspired selections you can really sink your vagina dentata into: the meta-pop of Lisa Dank's "On the Radio", the heavy flow of rapper Shunda K, the aural sodomy of porn soundtracker Tony Amherst, and a public service announcement from Sharvette, who reminds us that "this is the 80s... ladies are movin' up in the world now!" The episode's prime highlight, though, is an exclusive interview with Barbara Panther along with the debut of her Herbert-assisted single "Empire".

Stemming from ancient Greek, "Barbara" means "barbarian woman", and her surname -- aside from obviously referring to the nocturnally predacious pussybeast -- is evocative of Pantheism, the belief that god and nature are one and the same.

Tony Amherst is an American nomad who’s recorded music in various locations around the world with whatever setup was available at the moment. Until now, the only way you might have heard his music is if you’ve watched the homosexual pornographique films of Cazzo or High Drive, but Amherst is set to release a collection of his works spanning the last fifteen years. Titled 'Rush', the album comprises 23 tracks and nearly two hours of sleazy grooves and raunchy funk instrumentals, not unlike the more electronic leanings of disco producer Daniel Wang, and at certain moments reminiscent of the recently unearthed 'Catholic' by Patrick Cowley & Jorge Socarras.

The new film -- the first since 1989's Big Top Pee-Wee -- is supposedly centered on the characters of Pee-Wee's Playhouse as they venture out into the real world in a "road trip" type scenario. So maybe that means an edgy PG-13 approach in which Cowboy Curtis gets tasered and Chairry uses upholstery-enhancing drugs. And Pee-Wee visits an adult theater. (OK, that was intended as a corny joke, but hey, considering the film-within-a-film ending of Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, who knows how meta things might get...?)

For three decades, Gudrun Gut has remained a pivotal figure in Berlin's underground music scene, from 1980 as an early founder of Einstürzende Neubauten, to her role as multitalented member of Malaria! (just one of her many bands and collaborations), to the long-running Ocean Club radio show with Thomas Fehlmann, and now, her new project in collaboration with Antye Greie (AKA AGF). Greie Gut Fraktion's debut album Baustelle is out this week, and she recently talked about the record's conception and execution, the history of Berlin's music scene and how it has changed over the last 30 years, and the double standards facing women in the record industry.

From her early days clubbing in NYC as a fashion student, to the start of her DJ career in London in the late 90s, to her current bi-monthly residency at Berlin's hedonistic Berghain/Panoramabar, Dygas has surely done her fair share of body language analysis on unwitting dancefloor subjects, channeling it into her latest studio project.

The Fader just reported about the release of Domination, and you can download the whole thing for free at Toast PR's SoundCloud -- although you have to tediously download each of the twelve tracks individually. Why not zip that shit? Anyway, that's negligible compared to the low quality mp3s on offer. Although the files are marked at 192 kbps, they are audibly much more compressed, probably 128, which in 2010 is rather primitive. Several of the mixtape's tracks have already been floating around the blogal village in the past months, noticeably louder and clearer, and fans who've signed up for Dominique's email newsletter were offered CD-quality wav files for a couple tracks. And it's not like this free mixtape is a try-some-buy-some loss leader pointing toward a paid product (à la In Rainbows); it is the product. So why the downgrade in quality?
